This limited edition original stone lithograph, by nationally acclaimed artist, Dorothea Bilder (D. Bilder) is entitled Brazilian Contrasts. This lithograph has the appearance of a black and white work of art, but actually the colors used are transparent pink, purple, blue and brown. Brazil is called the land of contrasts because its northern states are warm and southern states are cool. There are mountains, valleys, waterfalls, raintree forests, jungle, plains with cattle ranches and a population made up of many separate cultures. The foods, artifacts and economic status are varied. The theme of this print is an interpretation of the derivative contrasts of land, space, huge cities, small towns and visual beauty.
Printed in Brazil by the artist using oil base inks. The image size is 22" X 31" inches. Printed on 100% rag Arches acid free paper with overall size of 24" X 31 1/2 " inches. A numbered limited edition of 60 signed in pencil by the artist.
